Maroon Themed Wedding Anniversary Cake

Reena ordered this cake for her parents' wedding anniversary celebration tomorrow. She said theme is maroon and design leave it to me. Again this one is a single-recipe for cutting and the rest for serving will be in squares for easy cutting.

Stitch Cake

Can't call this cake allergy free since some can also be allergic to gluten. This is the dairy-free egg-free chocolate cake frosted with dairy-free chocolate butter cream.
1.5 recipes baked in 6" and 8" pans.
Stitch is a torture to make. Could feel my stress mounting while doing his claws and teeth.
Hope Jayden is excited to see this cake.

The cake is awesome.. Adults admire it, Kids love it!! Everyone was taking pictures and it lasted for abt an hour!! My MIL doesn't like cake and can't believe she likes the cake.. And she kept on asking me how u bake it so nicely.. I was like how would I know?? :P
Another new discovery, found it last nite! :P I put the cake in the freezer.. The frozen texture is soft enough to spoon... and it tastes like 'cookies n cream' ice cream (i think it's taste better if got fresh cream!!!). :)

Man With Cigarette Birthday Cake

Instruction received is to do a man with his cigarette which he can't do without. The idea to use buttons came as I was doing the figurine. Side fondant ribbon was imprinted with basket weave pattern and buttons were painted with gold dust.
Single-recipe Carrot Walnut Cake baked in 8" pan.

His Chinese costume was painted with gold dust.

These are petite vanilla cupcakes for serving at the dinner table as part of the desserts.

GG - A Robert Pattinson's fan

Aida's sister, GG turns 17 yesterday. GG got so stressed over SPM and big sister said want to cheer her up with a cake decorated with things she likes. GG likes photography and Twilight New Moon and off course, Robert Pattison. Her favorite colors are red and black.
Since I don't do custom icing image printing we cheated. I bought a whole entertainment magazine in BM just for his photo 8P

Grandpa & Grandma's Birthday Cake

Two sisters, Samantha and Cherie ordered this cake for their grandpa and grandma's birthday celebration tomorrow.
2-recipe Coffee Butter Cake with coffee butter cream, gumpaste figurines and 'yuan bao'. 'Yuan bao' and well-wishing words painted with gold dust. This is a spin-off of my "Emperor's Birthday Cake" ;o)
Note: This is the first time I use reduced sugar butter cream. It is so soft, oily and hard to handle. I won't use it again for another fondant covered cake.


The sisters were in their teens and one of them was sitting for her SPM. It is so sweet of them to want to give their grannies a surprise gift. I decided put in "We Love You" (in Chinese) for them.

I forgot about the ginseng. It was tempting to just forget about it since the cake already looked great. However, after looking at it again and again I decided the ginseng must be in. Otherwise, the $$$ signs are just too loud. It's not good to wish the grannies only wealth excluding health even though the Chinese characters already include all. So, here is the 'amended' version, hehe...

1.5-recipe 8" Moist Chocolate Cake layered and frosted with chocolate ganache and covered with fondant.
The letters and leaves were cut out from white fondant and painted with powder color to give uneven tone effect.

Camera Cake - ARIQ

1-recipe American Chocolate Cake frosted with chocolate ganache. This cake was a bit of a pain because of the rainy days. Fondant was wet and soft and the chocolate ganache was smearing everywhere.... :-(
