Gucci Bag Cake - Hantaran

2-recipe 7"x10" Moist Chocolate Cake with chocolate ganache for an engagement Hantaran.

Yesterday your Gucci cake was one of the highlight  at my engagement ceremony. It is quite funny where some of the guess try to take a look inside the "bag", asking whether the bag is made from leather and some of them don't realise that it was a cake even after hours looking at it from afar. 

The cake itself was very tasty indeed, they all loved it. Thanks to you and my lovely sister i can be proud with my hantaran.

Overall i am very satisfied with your work and if you want me to make a testimony just let me know.

Chanel Handbag Cake

Chanel Handbag Cake for Iqbal's wife. A year ago, his wife ordered Simpson's D'OH for him and he loved it. So, now it's his turn to get a nice cake for his wife. So sweet :D
1.5-recipe Moist Chocolate Cake with chocolate ganache and fondant. Moist of the decorative stuff were painted with lustre dusts. The cake board was airbrushed with gold.

Hi Faith, the cake is so pretty! Rina loved it very much. She doesn't wanna eat it because it's too pretty. Thank you so much for helping to make this happen.
Btw, the wife was summoned home about an hour early because the husband got too excited over the cake, haha...
Further comments after cake was cut: It was lovely! Very moist. Not only pretty, but also delicious. We really enjoyed the cake!

Handbag Cake Amira

Although this was a very last minute order I couldn't resist the temptation because this group of customers are easy going and have a good amount of budget which enables me to do something different yet achievable within the short time frame. They are the same gang that ordered the walkie talkie cake, boobs cake, shopping bag, etc...

Shopping Bag Nasuha

I was given short notice for this cake as well. Since I was doing Raya cookies and since there's a limited budget for this cake I did a lying down shopping bag instead of one that stands. Enjoyed doing this cake as the customer left everything to me except of the cake flavor.

Miniature Kate Spade's

This is for a friend's friend's birthday... :p The friend's friend likes Kate Spade's handbags. It's too late to do a handbag cake. So, I made miniatures of 2 of the designs of KS's shoes and handbags. Hope my friend's friend likes it. Italic words on purpose, hahaha....

Single recipe Calamansi Poppy Seed Cake, gumpaste shoes and handbag. Letters gold-dusted.
I decorated the cake at night when the rain came pouring down since 4pm yesterday. Take a close look on how fondant and gumpaste sweats under humid environment.

LV Handbag Cake

LV Handbag Cake for engagement 'Hantaran' from a repeat customer.
This cake is tougher than I thought. Almost regretted I undercharged (if not for a repeat customer lah), haha...
The toughest part of this cake is the mixing of colors to get the right shade of brown, as close as the LV bag design emailed to me. I used up the whole 1 oz. container of the imported brown food paste color. It is so costly!! Moreover, that's not the only paste color I used to get this to this shade 8{
I spent hours just to get the color. Why hours? Cake designers will understand ;-)
Next tough task is the painting of the LV 'logos'. I used a mixture of 2 lustre dusts here.
As for the 'Selamat Bertunang' wordings they were painted with bronze lustre dust. The zipper and buttons were painted with silver lustre dust while the buckles were painted with gold lustre dust.
1.5-recipe Classic Vanilla Buttercake with fondant.

The cake was so pretty they didn't want to eat it :-) They only ate it after 3 days.

Couch Handbag Cake

Wow, what a red red handbag! This is what Priya ordered for her mum's 60th birthday.
This cake took me almost the whole day to decorate. The most difficult part was the double 'C', the zip and the handles. The 'C's had to dry first before the gold pearl dust was painted on.
Message was pipe on cut out flowers and painted with gold pearl dust.
This cake was constructed from 2 recipes of vanilla buttercake.
Customer's feedback: Mum loved it and everyone said it's so unusual and like the taste too. Thank you.
Note: Fully fondant covered and decorated board requires an additional RM15.

Zip was painted with silver lustre dust.
