Baby Fullmoon Packages (ES)

We worked till midnight to complete the decoration of these cuppies. We did altogether 380 of them. Phew....I had shoulder and chest muscle pain the next day (off course not only due to this order).
The customer wanted something new. So did I. So, we agreed on bright colors, i.e. red, white and blue for her baby boy's fullmoon.
I just bought new cutters. So, it's time to put them into use, hehe....

Customer's feedback: I loved the cake. It looked good and was delicious. The icing wasn't too thick and the cake wasn't crumbly and not too sweet. The guests enjoyed it too. The balls worked! Taevan was picking the balls out and trying to bounce them on the floor! It was so fun to watch him.

Thanks so much for the gorgeous cake. It really made a difference to making Taevan's 1st birthday a memorable one :)

Dibo for Jared

1.5-recipe moist chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, gumpaste Dibo and fondant stars.
Dibo dried very well but not the hands were having trouble holding up :-(
Customer's feedback: It was the cutest cake save that Dibo's hands were falling off. Overall the cake was good - the chocolate was just nice, not too sweet - a bit dry though. Most importantly, my son loved it! It was the cake that was slightly dry. This is another case of how taste differs. Don't worry about the hands, it was still cute. If my son can instantly recognize Dibo and remind me about until the next day, I say it's a success!! So sweet :o) Thank you Lim.

I received frequent enquiries on my cupcake sizes. Thought I just post pictures of them here.

Inner row, from left to right: Standard Windmill Cup (bigger than Standard Souffle Cup, suitable for Wedding Cupcake Tiers), Sunshine Cup (slightly bigger than Standard Souffle, comes in lemon yellow, bright orange and bright apple green)

This box fits a Standard Souffle Cup snugly and it's perfect for party or wedding cupcake favors.

Camera Cake

This one was a torture. Wonder whether it's worth the price paid for all the agony suffered in trying to get the shape and buttons and features right for Dr Hazli who loves his Canon EOS 40D. I practically had to run to and fro between my computer, with my sketches from photos sent to me, and my working table.
Dark and strong colors are definitely a torture in rainy season too. Due to the large amount of coloring used to arrive at the dark color fondant tends to be sticky and wet when it's humid. Even imported gel/paste colorings suffers the same fate...sigh....

Customer's feedback: Hi Faith, your cake was a hit. Many asked where it was from. (So if you don't think that was worth it, I don't know what is! :P) The lemon cake was really moist and yummy, and the fondant icing was just nice, not too sweet. Quite nice, not too sweet. Quite a good job in all :)
Faith's comment: "fondant icing was just nice, not too sweet"...haha...see how taste can differ

As the board looked so plain and empty I decided to put some black & white stars to make it look nicer.
